Audience : Photography for “hire”
Welcome to Week Five of p52.3 : Artistry. This week’s assignment explores photography taken in a “hire” context (whether paid or not). I do not usually shoot for hire. Though occasionally I shot for friends. In this photo shoot, it was about the NY/Brooklyn family and their 1 year old in the context of their adopted city. I think that the considerations for the “client” influenced my decisions because I was shooting more head-one shoots (if you know my work, I don’t usually include faces). I was also conscious of getting an image of their son with the Brooklyn Bridge behind him. I really wanted my best work to stand out.
