Photo 52: A Play on Light | Seeing Light in Black and White 3

I am really enjoying this month’s theme on seeing light in Black and White. It helps me see more textures and patterns as well as the simplicity of our busy world.

Today I was so lucky to hang out with two of my NY photog friends for drinks and a bit of photo shooting. Thanks for a great afternoon Justine and Erica G! Here is my favorite of the digital images I took today.  Taken at The New York Public Library.

This blog post is part of a larger blog circle with a group of talented photographers.  As we explore and play with light, we invite you to look through our weekly posts and follow along.  Click HERE to see all my weekly posts.  Next up in the circle is Sarah Roemer Davis, a fellow NYer!  Sarah has been amazing me with her recent work and delightful shares of her young son and growing family!  We hope you take a few minutes to follow the circle!  Enjoy!!

Erica Collins - The movement of the people is incredible and I love how we can still see a glimpse of the details in the building. Fantastic!

Julie - Such an interesting image. I keep finding new things in it. I love all the layering, lines and movement.

Vanesa Hart - Great movementtt Happy you had a good time

jillcassara - Love the movement and texture punctuated by the two darker figures on the left!

Erica G. - Beautiful! I love the motion and the “ghosting” as Kim said — I love the idea of ghosts entering and leaving this timeliness library! Plus the tall arches make a gorgeous frame for the motion.

Kim - Super cool! Love the ghosting effect.

Lisa R - Love the hustle and bustle here and the beautiful shapes of the architecture!
